So most of you may be thinking that our blog has a rather strange name or maybe you are thinking we are crazy and that Becky(me) has been away from the west coast for way to long, but hold on and let us explain. I have a confession to make and it is that I love water and this love is one that I want to share with my children. Clearly I can not just walk over to the Puget Sound or chase waves with them at the beach so we had to be smart and clever thus our journey to explore Colorado by boat was born. We went to Target and purchased a remote controlled boat( review to follow shortly) and we headed off into the mountains only to realize that parks are closed and lakes are frozen, but we love adventure and we are stubborn. With boat in hand and cranky toddler by our side we visited the closest lake to us, Prospect Lake at Memorial Park.
The sun was just starting to set and it allowed for a beautiful view of Pikes Peak and lighted shadows danced on the water. Adam set the boat in the water and the fun began. We each had a chance to take the controls, but Josiah was a bit of a hog. We did not exactly do as planned, but we did have an awesome time together as a family and that is what it is all about. The little boat created small little waves that we enjoyed watching from the sandy shore and we are so excited to try another lake.
